Chandra Bhattacharjee

Born in 1961, Chandra graduated from the Indian College of Art & Draughtsmanship, Calcutta in 1986, winning a Gold Medal for Excellence in Fine Arts from Rabindra Bharati University in the same year. Chandra's works consist of men or women, infused with warm colours & a sculptural finesse, which tell a story of their own, even though on the surface they may seem immersed in mundane everyday chores. His style is contemporary & muted, and the effect, harmonious & vibrant. Chandra has actively participated in various group and solo exhibitions internationally and his work has been collected by private and corporate collectors globally.
