Shanta Samanta

Samanta (b. 1975) has completed her B.F.A and M.F.A from the Faculty of Fine Arts M.S. University Baroda, 1999 and 2001. She has worked under the guidance of Prof. Dhruva Mistry and Prof. Raghav Kanoria, who are highly praised sculptors.  In 2001 she had her first solo show at ‘Bajaj Art Gallery’, Mumbai, in 2002, at ‘Contemporary art gallery’, Ahmadabad, in 2007, ‘The rite of passage’, at the Fine Arts Gallery, M.S. University, Baroda. She has received many awards to her credit and has exhibited her work at leading Art Galleries in India.

She lives and works in Vadodara.
