Sharmila Sagara

Born in 1966, she has studied B.F.A. and M.F.A. in Sculpture from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M. S. University, Vadodara. In 2015, she submitted her Doctorate thesis on ‘Travel of an Idea: Metaphysical state to material state’ at CEPT University. She has participated in the exhibition ‘50 Years of Independence’ organized by National Lalit Kala Akademi, New Delhi at Hutheesing Visual Art Centre, Ahmedabad in 1997. She has also participated in ‘Miniature Format’ show at Gallery Sans Tache, Mumbai in 1997. She was an Associate Professor at Faculty of Arts and Humanities at CEPT University from 2008 to 2013 and an Associate Director & Coordinator at Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmedabad from 2000 to 2005.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.
