Shefali Nayan

Born in 1975, she completed her M.F.A. in Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University, Baroda in 1999. She has had solo exhibitions at the ‘Contemporary Art Gallery’, Ahmadabad in 2001-02. She has participated in various exhibitions including group shows at ‘Indian Contemporary Women Artists’, Museum Art Gallery, Mumbai, 2005; ‘Huthseeing Visual Art Centre’, Ahmedabad, 2003 and ‘Miniature Format Paintings’, Kanoria Centre for Arts, Ahmadabad, 2002. Her works speak of some moments and some glimpses from life. These moments might not be eventful happenings but significant moments that make life colorful and cheerful and sharpen ones sensibility, which is possible with children or people who see life with a child’s eye.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.
