Vyom Mehta

Born in Ahmedabad, Mehta completed his Bachelors in Visual Arts in Sculpture from The Faculty of Fine Arts, M.S. University of Baroda, Vadodara in 2006. He has participated in many group shows including: ‘Art Fusion 2010’ at Nehru Centre, Mumbai in 2010, ‘AM Art Show’- celebrating 600 yrs of Ahmedabad at Amdavad Ni Gufa, Ahmedabad in 2010. He has also been an Assistant Director for a feature film on the life of Ravi Varma in 2008. His most recent body of work looks at positioning the 'primitive' as a lens for constructing post-human, post-data, and post-anthropogenic narratives. He is currently working on a book titled 'A call to the primitive' and a curatorial project 'Must we be Combatants'.
The artist lives and works in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
