Samvedana Vaishya

Hailing from Old Walled city of Ahmedabad, Samvedana Vaishya (b. 1976) studied Painting from Sheth C. N. College of Fine Arts, Ahmedabad. Having her roots well grounded in the soils of Ahmedabad, and her love for the festivals and heritage of this city has strengthened her ties with the same. The vibrancy of different places of Ahmedabad, namely the Swaminarayan Temple, the Hutheesing Temple, all other parts of the Walled city excite her, and makes her want to capture them, be it using any media. She has held several shows in various cities of India namely, Ahmedabad, Bhopal, Mumbai, Vadodara and New Delhi. She has been a part of shows abroad, in Milan, Italy and in Egypt. She has been awarded Gujarat State Lalit Kala Academy Award in Graphics, 5th Purusharth Gaurav Award both in year 2002.

She lives and works in Ahmedabad.
